About Lesley Whyte
I am a passionate photographer specialising in street and storytelling photography, I also enjoy the detailed side of macro photography. Since I was born, I’ve either been in front or behind a camera; it’s like photography is in my blood.
Capturing the moments of me growing up, my parents made sure that every family moment was photographed including the family cats and dogs. In my teens, my first camera was a Rolleiflex Two & Quarter Square, I soon converted my parent’s bathroom into a dark room; the shower rail consistently doubled as a drying frame for my black & white photos.
In 2017, I was extremely fortunate to be one of 10 Auckland photographers mentored by industry luminary photographer Tom Ang as part of the “Connections – Peace.”
As a photographer, I now combine my passion to deliver photography tours, workshops, field trips and social photography events.
